Leave it to a former '80s action movie star like Sylvester Stallone to make a movie in 2010 that perfectly resembles something out of the bygone days when Hollywood blow'em ups ruled the world. Except in this case, instead of the usual one unstoppable killing machine wreaking havoc on the bad guys, there are five Hard Luck HD. Or six. Or eight, if you really want to get technical about it, though two of them, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger (both making uncredited cameos) don't actually join in on the bodycount fun Hard Luck HD. A group of freelance warriors who have lost their connection to righteous causes in favor of almighty cash, the Expendables may be hardened, but they're not yet inhuman Hard Luck HD. Sylvester Stallone and his cast of fellow action stars flex substantial ensemble muscle in this high-energy battle between good mercenaries and bad mercenaries. An effective mix of lean and over-the-top, "The Expendables" is often preposterous, but it achieves the immediacy of a graphic novel without the overdone mythology Hard Luck HD. I have never seen a PG-13 movie where you can tell that it so desperately wants to be rated-R Hard Luck HD. Robin Hood is a prequel to the tale that we all know and love where Robin and his future rebels come home after fighting in the Crusades to a troubled England with high taxes and a French threat Hard Luck HD. Robin Hood does a good job of keeping the action flowing throughout only to be broken by small scenes filled with light comedy Hard Luck HD. The film also does a solid job of keeping most of the historical context intact Hard Luck HD. Like I mentioned earlier, the film feels like it's trying to break out of its rating barrier; that's easy to see when the director is Ridley Scott who makes blood-filled movies such as Gladiator and American Gangster. This feeling translates to the screen as you can tell there was a weird air in the editing room Hard Luck HD. Overall, it drags on occasion, but Robin Hood is a solid, action-packed movie Hard Luck HD. Old toys never die. They just get put in the attic.
