Écrire en public

1. Votre assistant vous rejoint chez vous. Il remplit et signe un chèque devant vous, puis vous écrit une petite note, toujours devant vous. Vous prenez votre carnet de chèques, mais vous n'en rédigez aucun (à moins que ce ne soit pas un problème pour vous de le faire en présence de votre assistant).

2. Vous vous rendez tous deux dans un endroit où votre assistant devra remplir certains formulaires ou tirer un chèque. (Par exemple: acheter quelque chose dans un magasin, faire la queue et payer par chèque, ou acheter des cartes postales et les écrire, aller à la banque déposer de l'argent. Dans ce dernier cas, il remplira lui-même le bordereau de dépôt). Vous faites la queue avec votre assistant mais n'écrivez rien.

3. Vous êtes chez vous avec votre assistant. Vous passez dans la pièce voisine et vous lui écrivez un mot que vous lui donnez ensuite à lire.

4. Assis à la même table que votre assistant, vous écrivez votre nom sur un bout de papier. Si votre main tremble, cela n'a pas d'importance. Écrivez malgré tout. Et si votre nom est illisible, cela n'a pas d'importance non plus. Recommencez cet exercice jusqu'à ce que votre écriture soit lisible.

5. Reprenez l'étape 4, mais cette fois écrivez une note pour votre assistant en sa présence. Refaites cet exercice autant de fois que nécessaire jusqu'à ce que votre écriture soit lisible.

6. Vous vous rendez tous les deux dans un endroit où vous devrez remplir des formulaires ou tirer un chèque. Demandez seulement les formulaires à remplir. Vous ne devez pas les remplir sur place. Si vous devez tirer un chèque, tripotez votre carnet de chèques, rangez-le ensuite et payez en espèces.

7. Allez dans un autre endroit où vous devrez remplir des formulaires et faites la queue pour les recevoir. Installez-vous avec ces formulaires dans un endroit où personne ne peut vous voir et remplissez-les. Rentrez chez vous.

8. Vous allez dans un endroit où vous devrez payer par chèque. Choisissez votre article et faites la queue pour payer. Votre assistant reste à côté de vous. Rédigez votre chèque tandis que votre assistant vous regarde. Si vous n'obtenez qu'un gribouillage, ce n'est pas important. Dites au caissier que vous avez des problèmes pour écrire et payez en espèces. Vous ne serez pas le premier à agir de la sorte et les caissiers sont souvent habitués à ce genre de situation.

9. Recommencez l'étape 8 dans deux ou trois autres endroits, toujours en présence de votre assistant.

10. Faites un achat, un dépôt ou un retrait à la banque et remplissez le chèque ou les formulaires nécessaires. Votre assistant n'est pas là. Répétez cet exercice en différents endroits jusqu'à ce que vous le fassiez sans difficulté.
